OVEN FRENCH TOAST | |
1 (8 oz.) loaf cut into 1" slices 6 lg. eggs 1 1/2 c. milk 1 1/2 c. half & half 1 tsp. vanilla 1/4 tsp. cinnamon 1 stick butter 1 c. brown sugar 2 tbsp. dark syrup 1 c. chopped nuts Chill overnight. Bake 40 minutes. Heavily butter 9 inch square pan. Fill with bread slices. Mix rest of ingredients, together and pour over bread. Refrigerate covered overnight. Mix 4 topping ingredients. Add on top of egg mixture. Bake at 350 degrees. Let stand 5 minutes. Serves 6-9. |
