ONION CASSEROLE 
6 c. of onions, cut in fourths (preferably Vidalia onions)
2 tbsp. butter
1 can cream of mushroom soup
Salt and pepper as desired
1 c. grated American or Cheddar cheese
Bread crumbs

Melt the butter in casserole dish. Place cut up onions in casserole and salt and pepper to taste. Pour the cream of mushroom soup on top of cut up onions. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes, covered.

For the last 15 minutes of cooking, top with cheese and buttered bread crumbs.
