1 c. butter
1/2 c. Crisco
2 eggs
1 c. sugar
1 c. brown sugar
2 1/2 c. flour
1 c. oatmeal
1 1/2 c. chopped nuts
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 cookie sheet

In mixing bowl beat butter, Crisco and sugars until light and fluffy. Add eggs, vanilla and soda; mix until fluffy. Add flour, mix thoroughly. Stir in oatmeal and chopped nuts. Drop on greased cookie sheet 1 teaspoon of cookie dough for each cookie. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes. Makes 3 dozen. Dough freezes well.
