CHERRY CHOCOLATE CANDY | |
2 boxes XXXX powdered sugar, sifted 3 c. chopped pecans or walnuts 8 oz. shredded coconut (Baker's in plastic bag) 1 stick soft butter 8 oz. candied cherries, chopped 1 can condensed milk 1 bar paraffin (wax) 1 (12 oz.) bag semi-sweet chocolate bits Sift sugar. Mix butter, milk and add to sugar. Then add nuts, cherries, and coconut. Mix well. Roll into small balls. Will make about 150 pieces. Melt chocolate bits and wax together in double boiler. Dip balls in chocolate with a toothpick. Let dry on wax paper. When you melt the chocolate and wax together, do not let the water boil in the bottom of double boiler. It takes longer, but if the water is just hot the results are better. |
