PECAN TARTS 
PASTRY DOUGH:

1 c. flour
1 stick butter
4 oz. pkg. cream cheese
1 tsp. vanilla

Cream butter, cheese and vanilla. Add flour. Line ungreased tart tins with pastry dough.

FILLING:

1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tbsp. melted butter
3/4 c. firmly packed dark brown sugar

Whip egg, sugar and vanilla (no lumps). Add melted butter and whip in.

TOPPING:

1/3 c. or more crushed walnuts
1/3 c. chopped pecans

Place 1/4 teaspoon crushed walnuts in tin first. Fill almost to the top with filling and sprinkle top with pecans. Bake in 350 degree oven for 10-20 minutes. Lift tarts to see if brown on bottom. (makes 36 tarts.)

NOTE: Easier to knead with hands. If too sticky, add a little more flour.
