1 pkg. either white or yellow cake mix

Bake cake as directed on box in a bundt pan. Cool completely, for about 15 minutes. Slice into 2 layers and put apricot filling on each layer.

APRICOT FILLING:

1 (12 oz.) jar apricot preserves
2 tbsp. Amaretto

Mix above ingredients. Top cake with Cool Whip and slivered almonds.
