BAKED BEEF STEW 
2 lb. stew beef, cut in sm. pieces
1/3 c. flour combined with 1/4 tsp. paprika
2 tbsp. oil
1 lb. carrots, sliced
5 med. potatoes, pared & cut in sm. pieces
3-4 yellow onions, coarsely chopped
1/2 c. ketchup
2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
2 bay leaves
Salt & pepper to taste
4-5 c. beef stock made with bouillon cubes

Place beef in 3 quart baking dish and rub with flour mixture. Spread evenly and sprinkle with oil. Stir and bake at 350 degrees for about 1 hours.

Combine carrots, potatoes and onions; add to meat. Stir in remaining ingredients. cover loosely with foil and bake 2-3 hours at 350 degrees until vegetables and meat are tender. Remove bay leaves. (Stir once or twice while baking.) Note: Adjust quantities to personal taste.
