CLAM CHOWDER 
1 (7 1/2 oz.) can minced clams
2 sm. potatoes, peeled & diced
1 sm. yellow onion, finely chopped
3/4 c. heavy cream
2 c. milk
2 tsp. butter
2 slices bacon, cut in very sm. pieces
Salt & pepper to taste

Boil potatoes for 10 minutes. Fry bacon, combine onions and fry for 2 minutes. Add clam broth from can, simmer for about 5 minutes. Add minced clams, milk, cream, cooked potatoes, and butter. Simmer until potatoes are tender, about 8 minutes. Season to taste.
