1 lg. boneless chuck roast
3 tbsp. A-1 Steak Sauce
1 pkg. Lipton onion & mushroom or beefy onion soup mix
1 can golden cream of mushroom soup
Place roast on large piece of heavy duty aluminum foil. Spread A-1 Steak Sauce on roast with a pastry brush or back of spoon. Sprinkle the onion soup mix on top of the A-1 Sauce. Spread the golden mushroom soup (undiluted) on top of the dry soup mix. Wrap the foil around the roast loosely but securely. Place the foil wrapped roast in a roasting pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 3 to 3 1/2 hours. Left over roast and gravy make a wonderful base for homemade vegetable beef soup.
