TOM CLARK'S FIREHOUSE CHILI 
2 cans chili beans
1 lb. ground beef
1 (14 oz.) can whole tomatoes
1 (14 oz.) can tomato sauce
1 tbsp. chili powder
1/2 tsp. garlic powder, if desired
1/2 med. onion, chopped
2 to 3 (14 oz.) cans water

Put beans, tomatoes, chopped onion, tomato sauce, chili powder, garlic and water in large pot and simmer while you brown ground beef; drain off fat. Add beef to other items. Allow to simmer 2 to 3 hours, if possible, stirring occasionally.

Makes nice, thick chili; not too hot. Good served with fresh apples, too!
