CARAMEL LAYERS 
2 c. & 4 tbsp. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1 1/2 c. quick cooking rolled oats
1 c. butter
1 jar Smuckers caramel topping (1 c.)
1 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Combine in mixing bowl 2 cups flour, salt, soda, brown sugar and rolled oats. Cut in butter until particles are fine. Reserve 2 cups. Press remaining mix into bottom of greased 9 x 13 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes. Combine caramel topping with 4 tablespoons flour. Pour over mix after 5 minutes cooling. Then put chocolate chips on top. Add reserved crumbs and pat down gently. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 to 18 minutes.
