4 c. apples, peeled, chopped or diced
2 c. sugar
1 c. oil
2 eggs, unbeaten
3 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. chocolate chips

Stir sugar into apples and let stand 15 minutes. Mix in oil and then eggs. Mix together dry ingredients (no need to sift) and stir into apple mixture. Add chocolate chips and mix. Mixture will be stiff. Spoon into greased 9 x 13 pan and bake for 40 minutes in 350 degree oven, or until cake tests done. Serve warm.
