CHERRY WINK COOKIES 
3/4 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 tbsp. milk
1 tbsp. vanilla
2 1/4 c. self-rising flour
1 c. chopped pecans
1 c. chopped pitted dates
1 small jar cherries
1 box corn flakes, crushed

Mix first 8 ingredients together. Spoon out batter with teaspoon for each cookie on wax paper. Sprinkle with corn flake crumbs. Roll each cookie until well coated. Press to form cookie. Top with cherry cut in half. Put on greased cookie sheet.

Bake at 350°F for 15 minutes.

Makes about 30 cookies.
