CHICKEN, CREAM OF ONION 
1 c. diced onion
1 (5.4 oz.) pkg. dried onion soup mix
1 c. uncooked raw (long grain regular rice)
2 (2 1/2 lb.) chicken fryers cut into quarters
1 (10 3/4 oz.) can cream of onion soup
3 c. water

Spread diced onions and dry onion soup mix on bottom of baking pan or roaster. Spread raw rice over top. Lay pieces of raw chicken on top. Mix cream of onion soup and 3 cups water and pour over chicken. This will be very watery, don't become alarmed. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour, uncovered. Does not need salt, depending on your preference. Yield: 8 servings.
