SWEET POTATOES BISCUITS 
2 c. flour
2/3 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. baking powder
1/4 c. shortening
2 c. mashed sweet potatoes
1/4 c. milk

Sift flour, sugar, salt and baking powder together, cut in shortening until it resembles cornmeal. Stir in the sweet potatoes then add milk gradually to form a soft dough. Turn out on a lightly floured board and knead lightly. Roll or pat out to a 1/2 inch thickness then cut biscuits out with a biscuit cutter. Place on greased cookie sheet and bake at 475 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes.
