FESTIVE MEAT LOAF 
68 saltine crackers, finely rolled (about 2 1/2 cups crumbs)
1/3 c. melted butter
1 1/2 lb. ground beef (chuck or round)
1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
2 eggs, lightly beaten
1 pkg. Lipton vegetable soup mix
1/8 tsp. ground black pepper

Blend 1 1/2 cups cracker crumbs with butter. Press against bottom and sides to with in 1/2 inch from top of a 9 x 5 x 3 inch loaf pan. Thoroughly blend ground beef with next 4 ingredients and remaining crumbs; press lightly into prepared pan.

Bake in a preheated hot oven (400 degrees) for 1 1/4 hours or until done. Turn out onto serving platter, crumb side up. Makes 8 servings.
