INDIAN FRIED BREAD 
2 c. flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. sugar
1/2 to 3/4 c. milk

Mix dry ingredients. Add enough milk to make a dough. Pat out on a floured surface until 1/2 to 1/4 inch thick. Slice into 2 x 3 inch pieces. Fry in 1/2 inch oil or shortening until brown on both sides.

Serve with butter and jam or sprinkle with cinnamon/sugar.
