BISCOTTI DI REGINA 
1 1/4 c. flour
2/3 c. sugar
3/4 tsp. baking powder
6 tbsp. butter, melted
1 egg, beaten
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
3/4 c. sesame seed

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Sift flour, sugar and baking powder in medium bowl. Blend in butter, egg and vanilla with a wooden spoon. Press dough together with hands.

Roll about 1/2 cup dough into 3/4 inch rope. Cut rope into 1 1/2 inch lengths. Roll each piece in sesame seeds to coat completely. Arrange on ungreased baking sheets, spacing 1/2 inch apart. Repeat with rest of dough.

Bake until light and golden, about 18 minutes. Cool completely on racks. Store in airtight container.

Makes 4 1/2 dozen crisp cookies.
