PEACH CRUMB PIE | |
1 single 9 inch pie crust 1/4 c. sugar 3 tbsp. flour 1/4 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. cinnamon 1/4 tsp. nutmeg 4-5 c. canned peaches (saving 1/2 c. juice) 2 tbsp. butter CRUMB TOPPING: 1/2 c. flour 1/4 c. sugar 1/4 c. brown sugar 1/2 tsp. cinnamon 3 tbsp. butter Mix all ingredients, except butter, in a large bowl and pour into pie crust. Fill pie shell and dot with butter. Combine topping ingredients until mixture resembles crumbs. Place crumb topping on pie and bake at 350 degrees for 45-50 minutes. Note: To avoid soggy pie crust, first prick crust, then bake unfilled pie crust in 450 degree oven for 3 minutes. |
