LONGSHIP PIZZA POEM
2 1/2 c. flour
1 c. warm water
1 pkg. dry yeast
1 tsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. salad oil
Pizza sauce (any kind)
Toppings as desired

This is a pizza on which you can feast, start with mixing warm water and yeast. Set this aside, there is more to do. Don't be alarmed, yeast makes a smelly goo. In a large bowl, blend flour, sugar and salt. If you make a big mess it isn't our fault.

To this, add the yeast mix and oil as well. Roll up both sleeves and wait for the bell. Knead dough firmly, with two hands, not one. Add flour as needed until mixing is done. Two minutes will do it, too much is not wise, then put it aside for 5 minutes to rise. Grease a flat pan, like a big cookie sheet, round or square, they cannot be beat.

Spread the dough out thin and cover with sauce, many kinds can be purchased at nominal cost. Next comes the fun part, the toppings, you see. Use your imagination and creativity.

Parmesan, Mozzarella, Cheddar and more, pepperoni, sausage, olives, toppings galore. Pop into an oven set at 425 degrees. In 25 minutes your taste buds will come alive. When the cheese turns light brown, the pizza is done. So pig in with friends... what fun!
