OVERNIGHT SALAD | |
1 head lettuce 1 lg. green pepper 4-5 stalks celery 1 lg. red onion 2 pkg. frozen mini peas, cooked and drained 1 c. mayonnaise 2 tbsp. sugar 1/2 lb. crisp crumbled bacon 1 c. shredded Cheddar cheese Slice or chop lettuce, green pepper, celery, and red onion as for tossed salad, layered in large bowl. Add layer of mini peas. Spread top of salad with mayonnaise. Sprinkle top with sugar, crumbled bacon and shredded Cheddar cheese. Cover and refrigerate overnight. May be tossed before serving, if desired. |
