BANANA BLOND BARS 
1/2 c. butter
1 c. brown sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. mashed banana (2 lg.)
3 1/2 oz. coconut
1 1/4 c. flour

Cream together butter, brown sugar, egg, and vanilla. Add baking powder and salt. Mix well. Blend in bananas, 3/4 cup coconut; mix well. Blend in flour. Put in greased 13 x 9 inch pan. Mix remainder of coconut with 1 tablespoon sugar and 1 tablespoon melted butter. Spoon evenly over top. Bake at 325 degrees for 45 minutes. Cut into bars.
