LOVE THAT LEMON CHIFFON PIE | |
1 (8-9") graham cracker crust 1 can Eagle Brand sweetened condensed milk 1/3 c. real lemon juice Few drops yellow food coloring 2-3 tsp. lemon rind 3 egg whites 1/4 tsp. cream of tartar, Optional whipped topping In medium bowl combine condensed milk, lemon juice, food coloring and 1 teaspoon grated lemon rind, mix well. In small bowl beat egg whites until stiff and not dry (can put in cream of tartar if wish) gently fold into milk mixture. Pour into prepared crust. Chill 3 hours. Can garnish with whip topping and remaining lemon rind. Refrigerate any leftovers. |
