1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. white sugar
1 egg
1/2 tsp. vanilla flavoring
1 c. plus 2 tbsp. self-rising flour
1/2 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/2 c. nuts (if desired)

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Cream brown sugar and white sugar. Beat in 1 egg and vanilla flavoring. Stir in flour and chocolate chips. Add nuts if desired. Drop onto greased cookie sheet and bake 10 minutes.
