BLUSHING CHICKEN | |
4 chicken breasts 1 tsp. monosodium glutamate 1/2 c. butter 12 c. dry white wine 1 1/2 c. red currant jelly 1 c. dairy sour cream Split chicken breasts in half and sprinkle with monosodium glutamate. Melt butter in electric skillet (or whatever). Cook chicken at 360 degrees to a golden brown, turning to brown evenly. Add wine. Cover and simmer for 15 minutes at 300 degrees. Melt currant jelly in pan juices, basing chicken well. Turn frequently and baste until chicken is tender. Add sour cream to sauce and blend well. Heat thoroughly. Serve sauce with chicken.
