HAM AND CHEESE CASSEROLE
Our family has been enjoying this recipe for many many years and is still one of our favorites.

6-8 peeled potatoes
1 medium onion
2 cups diced ham
12 slices American cheese (from the deli)
1 (12 oz.) can Carnation evaporated milk

Preheat oven to 350°F. While oven is heating, slice potatoes to even slices. Same with onion.

Spray 9x13-inch glass pan with non-stick cooking spray (Pam). Start layering the pan first with potatoes, then the a portion of the onion, then half the ham and then cover with 6 pieces of the cheese. Sprinkle with salt and paper. Repeat until the last top layer is potatoes.

Pour evaporated milk over the entire casserole till it comes half way up the glass pan. Approximately 3/4 of the can. Cover with foil, bake at 350°F for approximately 60 minutes. You will see the milk bubbling up the side of the pan which usually means its about done.

Allow to cool for about 10 minutes before serving, the cheese and milk will then thicken.
