FRIED GREEN TOMATOES | |
4 med. green tomatoes 1/2 c. cornmeal 2 tbsp. all-purpose flour 1 tsp. salt, (optional) 1/4 tsp. white pepper 1/4 c. butter Cut tomatoes into 1/4 inch slices. Combine cornmeal, flour, salt and pepper. Dip tomato slices into cornmeal mixture. Heat butter in skillet. Add tomato slices; cook turning once until golden brown. Makes 4 servings. |
