BEEF STEW 
Stew meat
3-4 carrots, sliced
6 potatoes, diced
Onion, chopped
2 pkg. Schilling brown gravy mix
Bisquick to coat meat
Crisco to brown meat
1-2 beef bouillon

Coat stew meat in Bisquick, brown with Crisco. Slice carrots, diced potatoes and chopped onion. Combine in crock pot. Mix 2 packets of gravy mix, according to instructions on pockets. Pour in crock pot. Add 1-2 beef bouillon. Bake on low for 9 hours. Serves 5-6.

I am looking forward to trying this. My grandma made the best beef stew with no tomatoes. The sauce was thin almost gravy like and you could practically drink it was soo good. She has passed away and I wish I had paid attention while she made it. I hope this is close. Thanks for the post.
