1 box chocolate cake mix 1 can pie cherries, drained (reserve juice) 1/2 c. sour cream 2 eggs, beaten VARIATIONS: 1 box yellow cake mix 1 can pie apples, drained (reserve juice) 1/2 c. sour cream 2 eggs, beaten - OR - 1 can crushed pineapple, drained (reserve juice) 1/2 c. sour cream 2 eggs, beaten - OR - 1 can pie apples, drained (reserve juice) 1/2 c. sour cream 2 eggs, beaten Beat together cake mix, sour cream, beaten eggs and reserved juice or syrup. Beat well. Fold in fruit. Pour into greased and floured, 13 x 9-inch cake pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes. |
