GRANDMOTHER'S EGGNOG 
3 lb. cans evaporated milk
3 cans water
1 1/2 c. sugar
5 or 6 eggs, beaten

Combine all ingredients in a heavy boiler. Cook on medium heat, stirring constantly. Eggnog is ready when it barely starts to thicken. Do not overcook; eggs will curdle. Chill.
