ORANGE DATE PECAN BREAD 
1/2 c. orange juice
1/2 c. boiling water
1 c. chopped dates (8 oz. box) (1 1/2 c. chopped)
1 c. sugar
2 tbsp. butter, melted
1 egg, beaten
2 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. chopped pecans

Combine orange juice and boiling water to make 1 cup liquid. Combine liquid, fruit, sugar, butter, and egg. Sift flour, baking powder, salt, and soda; add to liquid. Mix and add nuts. Bake in greased loaf pan at 350 degrees for 50 minutes. Cool in pan.
