WHITE CHOCOLATE CAKE 
1/4 lb. white chocolate
1/2 c. boiling water
1 c. butter
2 c. sugar
4 egg yolks
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 c. cake flour
1 heaping tsp. baking powder
1 c. buttermilk
4 egg whites
1 c. chopped nuts
1 c. coconut

Melt chocolate in boiling water. Cool. Cream together butter and sugar. Beat in egg yolks, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add melted chocolate and vanilla. Sift together flour and baking powder. Add to chocolate mixture, alternating with buttermilk.

Do not over cream. Fold in beaten egg whites. Gently stir in nuts and coconut. Pour into 3 (9 inch) cake pans. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Cool layers on rack. Frost with cream cheese frosting.
