NO - BAKE STRAWBERRY SHORTCAKE | |
1 (2 oz.) pkg. dessert topping mix OR 1 c. whipping cream, sweetened and whipped 8 slices soft white bread 1 qt. fresh strawberries 1/3 c. sugar Prepare dessert topping according to package directions. Trim crusts from bread; fit 4 slices in 8 x 8 x 2 inch baking dish. Mash berries; stir in sugar. Spoon half the berry mixture over bread in baking dish; spread half the dessert topping over berries. Repeat layers. Chill about 1 hour. Cut in squares. Makes 9 servings. |
