EASY PIE CRUST | |
4 c. unsifted flour 1 tbsp. sugar 2 tsp. salt 1 3/4 c. vegetable shortening 1/2 c. cold water 1 lg. egg 1 tbsp. vinegar Mix flour, sugar and salt. Cut shortening into flour mixture with 2 knives or pastry blender. Mix water, egg and vinegar and blend in gently to form a smooth ball. Divide into 5 parts. Wrap individually and chill for at least 1/2 hour before rolling. Unused sections may be frozen for future use. |
