3/4 c. Grapenut Flakes
1/2 c. water
3/4 c. sugar
3 eggs
1 c. dark Karo syrup
3 tbsp. melted butter
1 tsp. vanilla
1/8 tsp. salt

Combine cereal and water; let stand until water is absorbed (8 or 10 minutes). Beat eggs with sugar, add Karo, butter, vanilla and salt. Fold in softened cereal. Pour into unbaked 9 inch pie shell. Bake 350 degrees about 45 to 50 minutes. Serves 8.
