TOTE ALONG MACARONI CASSEROLE 
2 c. (8 oz.) macaroni
1/2 lb. mushrooms, sliced
2 tbsp. chopped onion
2 tbsp. salad oil
2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
3/4 c. grated sharp cheese
1 lb. ground beef
1 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. garlic powder

Cook macaroni according to package; drain. Meanwhile, saute mushrooms and onion in oil until crisp and tender. Add beef and brown lightly. Stir in 1 teaspoon salt, remaining seasonings and tomato sauce. Simmer, uncovered 10 minutes. Combine with macaroni, turn into 1 1/2 quart casserole. Sprinkle with cheese. Bake at 400 degrees for 15 minutes, uncovered or until bubbling hot and cheese is lightly brown. Serves 4 to 6.
