MAMA'S CORNBREAD 
2 1/2 c. white cornmeal
2 c. whole milk
4 c. water
6 tbsp. butter
1 1/4 c. sugar
2 tsp. salt
3 beaten eggs

Mix together cornmeal and milk. Heat water and butter just to boiling point. Add all other ingredients. Cook on top of stove, stirring constantly, until mixture boils and is very thick. Be careful not to scorch. Pour into greased baking pan and brown in oven at 450 degrees until light brown on top (no more than 20 minutes).
