PICKLED CABBAGE 
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. vinegar
1/2 c. water
1/2 tsp. salt
1 head cabbage
Red & green peppers, dried
(Opt.) Yellow peppers & raw carrots

Boil sugar, vinegar, water, salt a few minutes. Let this mixture set 1 hour to cool. Shred cabbage. Pour cooled juice over cabbage and peppers. Mix well. Can be stored in refrigerator up to a week.
