BANANA FRUIT SLUSH | |
6 c. water 1 1/2 c. sugar 1 (12 oz.) can frozen orange juice concentrate 1 (46 oz.) can pineapple-grapefruit juice 5 med. bananas 1 bottle (32 oz.) lemon-lime carbonated beverage Or Club soda In large bowl, stir together water and sugar, mixing until sugar is completely dissolved. Add thawed orange juice concentrate and fruit juice; mix well. In a blender, puree bananas, then stir into juice mixture until well combined. Pour into 2 (1/2 gallon) freezer containers. Cover and freeze at least 24 hours or up to 6 months. To serve, thaw at room temperature until mixture is slushy (approximately 3 hours). Stir in carbonated beverage and serve immediately. (If thawing only half of punch, add just 2 cups of beverage.) Full recipe makes about 30 (6 ounce) servings. |
