3 tbsp. butter
1 c. sugar
1 egg, beaten
1 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
3 c. chopped apples
1/2 c. chopped pecans
1 tsp. vanilla

Beat together butter and sugar. Add egg and mix well. Stir dry ingredients into the mixture. Stir in chopped apples, nuts and vanilla. Pour into greased 8"x10" pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. While still warm, top with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream and serve.
