ALABAMA BISCUITS 
2 c. flour
1 c. warm water
2 tsp. baking powder
2 tbsp. sugar
1/4 c. shortening
1 tsp. salt
1 cake yeast or 1 pkg. dry yeast
1/2 c. dry milk

Dissolve yeast in water. Add other ingredients. Knead a little. Roll about 1/4" thick. Cut as biscuits. Brush both sides with butter. Fold. Let rise on baking pan for 1 hour. Bake at 400 degrees until brown, about 8 to 10 minutes.
