SIRLOIN TIPS 
2 lbs. sirloin tips, cut into 1" cubes
1 can Campbell's beef consomme
1/3-1/2 c. red wine
2 tbsp. "lite" soy sauce
1/4 tsp. onion powder
1 garlic clove, minced or 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
Cornstarch
1/4 c. water
4-6 c. hot cooked rice

Brown meat cubes on all sides, being careful not to let sides touch. Add garlic, onion powder, wine and consomme and heat to a boil; reduce heat and simmer about 1 hour, covered.

Make a paste of the water and cornstarch; gradually add paste to meat mixture. Cook, stirring constantly until mixture boils and gravy is thick. Serve over rice. Serves 8 persons.
