CHINESE ASPARAGUS 
2 lb. fresh asparagus, cut diagonally in thin slices
2 tbsp. olive or cooking oil
3/4 c. chicken stock
1 tbsp. cornstarch
2 tbsp. soy sauce
1 tbsp. cold water
5 drops garlic oil
Salt & pepper

Heat electric fry pan to 325 degrees. Add sliced asparagus and saute for 2 minutes. Remove asparagus. Add chicken stock and bring to a boil. Reduce temperature to 225 degrees and stir in a mixture of cornstarch, water and soy sauce, stirring occasionally. Cool until thickened. Add garlic, salt, pepper and asparagus. Cook 1 minute longer. Serve at once. Serves 6.
