1 3/4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. peanut butter
1 egg
2 tbsp. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
48 chocolate kisses (unwraped)

Mix all ingredients together. Roll dough into small balls. Roll in sugar. Bake at 375 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes. While hot, press chocolate kiss in cookie.

NOTE: Chocolate stars may be used instead of kisses.
