HOLIDAY GIFT CAKE 
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
1 c. butter
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla

Thoroughly blend the above. 2 1/2 c. sifted cake flour 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder 3/4 c. (8 oz. jar) well drained chopped maraschino cherries 1/2 c. chopped pecans

Add eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each. Gradually add remaining ingredients.

Heat oven to 325 degrees. Grease 10" bundt pan. Sprinkle with 1/2 cup finely chopped nuts. Pour in batter. Bake 1 hour and 20 minutes. Cool 5 minutes. Remove from pan. (May use loaf pans, cut baking time.)
