CREAM PIE FILLING 
3/4 c. sugar
1/3 c. flour
2 c. milk
1 tsp. salt

Mix above ingredients together and cook approximately 2 minutes or until starting to boil, then slowly add 3 egg yolks (beaten with a fork). Bring to a boil. Remove from heat and add 2 tablespoons butter and 1 teaspoon vanilla. Allow filling to cool and then place it in a baked pie crust and refrigerate.

CREAM PIE VARIATIONS:

Peanut Butter: Add 4 tablespoons peanut butter to basic recipe.

Butterscotch: Substitute brown sugar instead of white sugar.

Chocolate. Add 4 tablespoons cocoa or four unsweetened chocolate squares with first mixture of ingredients.

Banana: Slice 3 large bananas and cover with cream filling.
