SHEPHERD'S PIE | |
1 lb. lean ground beef 1/2 c. chopped onion 1 clove garlic, minced 1 tsp. dried rosemary, crumbled 1 (1 oz.) env. au jus beef gravy mix, prepared, then divided Pepper 3 c. mashed potatoes Heat oven to 375 degrees. Large skillet. Saute beef with onion, garlic and rosemary. Break meat into small pieces. Cool until browned. Spoon off excess fat. Add 1/2 cup gravy and pepper. Mix well. In a shallow 2 quart casserole or deep dish pie plate, spread meat evenly. Cover with mashed potatoes to edge of casserole. Make a criss-cross design on top. Bake 35 to 40 minutes (brown). Serve remaining gravy on side. Serves 4 to 6. |
