3 c. flour
2 c. sugar
1 tsp. baking soda
2-3 tsp. cinnamon
3 eggs
1 1/2 c. corn oil
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped nuts
3 c. apples
1 c. raisins

Mix dry ingredients together. Add eggs, oil and vanilla; mix well. Put in greased pan. Bake for 45 minutes in 350 degree oven. Remove from oven and put on topping immediately. Use 14 x 10 x 2 inch pan.

LEMON SAUCE:

Mix 1 tablespoon cornstarch with 2/3 cup sugar. Add to 1 cup boiling water, stirring vigorously. Cook over medium heat until thick. Remove from heat; stir in 2 tablespoons lemon juice and 1 teaspoon grated lemon rind, plus 2 tablespoons butter. Spoon over warm cake. Delicious!
