MAINE APPLE PIE 
1 c. flour
3/4 c. white granulated sugar
3/4 c. packed brown sugar
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
3/4 c. walnuts, chopped
3 c. unpeeled fresh apples, diced (use tart apples)
Cinnamon & sugar

DO NOT USE A MIXER. STIR BY HAND.

Combine flour, sugars, baking powder, salt and eggs; mix well. Stir until no ingredients are showing. Batter will be stiff. Add vanilla; mix well. Add nuts; fold in apples. Pour batter into heavily buttered 9" pie plate. Sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar. Bake 40 minutes at 375 degrees. Store covered with waxed paper - NOT PLASTIC.
