DOUBLE FUDGE SAUCEPAN BROWNIES 
1/2 c. sugar
2 tbsp. butter
2 tbsp. water
2 c. chocolate chips
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1 tsp. vanilla
2/3 c. unsifted flour
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. chopped nuts (optional)

Cook sugar, butter and water in medium saucepan over low heat, stirring constantly until mixture boils. Remove from heat. Immediately stir in 1 cup chocolate chips, stirring until melted. Stir in eggs and vanilla until blended.

Combine flour, baking soda and salt. Add to chocolate mixture. Stir in remaining chips and nuts. Pour into greased 9 inch square pan and bake at 325 degrees for 25-30 minutes. Cool before cutting into bars (1 1/2 dozen bars).
